Injection Molded Part Prototyping services are provided by StackTeck to achieve high quality and well defined part samples.
We offer two types of injection molded part prototyping services:
Typically SLA (stereo lithography) prototypes are used to assist customers and engineers with the visualization of the plastic product at a preliminary stage, but it yields no information of actual molding issues.
The preferred prototyping method is to simulate as closely as possible, production mold environment conditions. This involves machining hardened steel inserts on a production capable single cavity mold. This method may take longer, but it will enable analysis of all technical concerns.
This is the only type of prototype which will be able to validate the performance parameters of the final mold. In fact, most prototypes are used as spare stacks in the final multi-cavity tool. Our prototype molds are made to fit any machine size and can produce a target number of plastic parts, they are heat treated and have cooling systems in place, as per production mold standards.
When final prototypes are approved, we are confident the production molds will be efficient, ready for production and will offer a significantly reduced time to launch.
