In Mold Closing systems are used to automatically assemble molded parts prior to ejection from the molding surface. These systems operate during the opening time of the mold to minimize the impact on cycle time. StackTeck uses proprietary, proven IMC designs to integrate the closing rack and maximize mold cavitation.
Over 1000 IMC Cavities have been built by StackTeck. Key developments associated with In Mold Closing technology have focused on using multiple, separate motions of the closing arms, while optimizing the control of closing force – particularly for high cavitation molds. The compact design of the closing arms shown in the above photo allow for maximum cavitation in any given press size, and the minimized stroke distance required for closing enables the fastest possible cycle time.
