Brampton, Ontario, Canada: StackTeck Systems Ltd., a global manufacturer of multi-cavity, high-volume production molds for packaging, closures, personal care and medical products, is proud to be part of Milacron’s “Game Changing” Klear Can project.
This multi-layer co-injection technology from Milacron allows the production of PP plastic cans for food products including a high temperature retort process. The first Klear Can cold half prototype was made by StackTeck and the first production system for Klear Cans is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2017.
Milacron’s Klear Can with In-Mold Labeling (IML) can be seen in Milacron’s booth located in Hall 15, Booth No. C06. The system features StackTeck 4 cavity tooling running in one of Milacron’s Ferromatik-Series machines, In-Mold Labeling automation from CBW, inspection system from IMD, and labels from Verstraete.
“Our experience in advanced part design and high performance molding brings considerable advantages to large scale applications like the Klear Can. As Milacron has commercialized this technology, we’ve been very pleased to play a role on their team, supplying the tooling with our IML expertise, including early runs on our IML pilot cell,” said Randy Yakimishyn, President and CEO.
